Affiliate program terms

These terms explain how the Marketminer affiliate program works: how you join, how commissions are earned, how long they are held, and what happens when a referred customer is refunded. If you have questions about your account or these terms, reply to any email we have sent you or write to the contact you were onboarded with.

Joining the program

When self-serve enrollment is available in Settings, anyone with a Marketminer account can join: open Settings, go to Affiliates, and accept these terms. Your referral link works immediately. We record the version of these terms you accepted, the commission terms you were shown, and when you accepted.

Each account can hold one affiliate account. Your referral link name is first come, first served, and it cannot be changed once you choose it, so pick one you are happy to keep. If a name impersonates us or another person, we may pause the affiliate account holding it.

How commissions are earned

You earn a commission on each payment a referred customer actually makes to Marketminer. Commissions are calculated on the amount the customer paid, after any discounts and before tax. If a referred customer uses a discount code, your commission is a percentage of the discounted amount.

The current offer is 20% of each payment for a referred customer's first 12 months. That window starts with the first payment that earns you a commission, not when the customer is referred. If we agreed different terms with you directly, or you joined when the published offer was different, the terms you accepted are the ones that apply to you.

The 30-day holding period

Each commission is held for 30 days after the customer's payment before it becomes payable. This window exists because customers can request refunds, and a commission on money that was returned is not money we earned together.

Refunds and credit notes

If a customer's payment is fully refunded or fully credited back, the commission on that payment is reversed automatically, whether or not it has been paid out yet.

If a payment is partially refunded, nothing happens automatically. We review partial refunds by hand and decide case by case whether the commission stands, and we will tell you when a partial refund affects one of your commissions.

If a reversal happens after a payout

If a refund lands after we have already paid you the commission on that payment, the reversed amount is deducted from your next payout. We will never ask you to send money back; negative balances simply carry forward and net against future earnings.

Chargebacks

Payments lost to a card dispute (chargeback) are treated like full refunds, reviewed and applied by hand.

Referring yourself

You do not earn commissions on your own subscription. Signing up a second account through your own link to collect a commission on it is a breach of these terms, and we will void those commissions.

How you may promote Marketminer

Share your link where you would genuinely recommend Marketminer: your site, your newsletter, a video, a post, a conversation.

These are not allowed:

• Coupon, deal, and voucher aggregator sites.
• Paid search ads bidding on our brand name or close variants of it, or ads that send traffic to a URL resembling ours.
• Unsolicited bulk email, direct messages, or comment spam.
• Presenting yourself as us, as an employee, or as an official channel.
• Misstating what Marketminer does, what it costs, or what a discount covers.
• Clicking your own link to inflate numbers, or paying anyone else to.

Pausing participation

Write to us and we will pause your affiliate account, and we can pause it ourselves at any time. Pausing stops new referrals from being attributed to you. Referrals already attributed to you keep earning on the terms recorded for them, and you stay eligible for payout on what you have already earned.

If we find abuse or a breach of these terms, we may void unpaid commissions, including commissions already accrued but not yet paid out.

Taxes

Commissions are your income and the tax on them is your responsibility. We do not withhold anything. Before your first payout we may need tax information from you, and we may hold the payout until we have it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version always governs the program, and it is published on this page with its date. Your recorded acceptance always refers to the version you actually accepted.

Your commission rate and duration are the ones you accepted. A change we publish for new affiliates does not alter yours, and we will not change yours without your agreement.
